Michael Marsans and
Ethan Gardner finished with a combined 19 kills and 5.5 blocks, but it was not enough as Queens used a fast start to claim the first set, before surviving a late rally by the Lees-McRae men's volleyball team, en route to a straight-sets win in the non-conference action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans finished with a game-high 11 kills, while Gardner posted eight kills and four block assists.
- Bradley Peters posted a double-double with 23 set assists and 10 digs.
- M.J. Doyle and Ace Backer both finished with five kills.
- The Royals used a 13-3 run in the first set to shift momentum and held on for a 25-14 victory in set one.
- The Bobcats remained within striking distance for the entirety of the second frame until a late 3-1 run by Queens gave the Royals a 25-21 win in set two.
- Lees-McRae started off the third set by winning 14 of the first 22 points but failed to hold the momentum as the Royals evened the score at 24-24.
- The Bobcats held a 25-24 and a 26-25 lead, until Queens posted a back-to-back ace and a kill to clinch the victory.
- The Royals held a slim 35-34 edge in kills, while both teams finished with eight blocks and 24 digs.
FOR THE FOES:
- Tristan Santoyo finished with nine kills to pace the Royals.
- Nic Cavallaro tallied seven kills, while Daniel Leitao added a game-high 29 assists.
