SUMTER, S.C. – The Lees-McRae men's tennis team tallied a pair of doubles victories, to go along with winning three singles matches, to clinch their first postseason victory since the 2010-11 season with a 4-3 win over No. 7 North Greenville, before seeing their season come to an end with a 4-0 loss to No. 3 Emmanuel in the Conference Carolinas Championship this afternoon.
MATCH #1 BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Lees-McRae – 4; North Greenville – 3
LOCATION: Palmetto Tennis Center – Sumter, South Carolina
RECORDS: Lees-McRae (6-5), North Greenville (3-10)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The doubles team of Jofre Tura-Campalans and Landon Church won the #1 doubles match with a 6-2 score, while the team of Hanqing Wang and Miodrag Popovic teamed up to claim a 7-6 (5-0 tiebreaker) victory in the #2 doubles match.
- Tura-Campalans also posted a 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 win in the #1 singles match.
- Wang and Church clinched victories in both the #2 singles match (6-2, 6-1) and the #4 singles match (6-3, 0-6, 6-4) to close out the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emmanuel clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 win in the #1 doubles match.
- Wang battled in the #2 singles match by winning the first set 6-1, before ultimately falling in the third set.
