BANNER ELK, N.C. – Southern Wesleyan closed the first half by scoring nine-unanswered goals and held a 39-15 edge in shot attempts en route to claiming a 15-5 victory over the host Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas contest this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Madi Barry and Kalbie Grassett each finished with two goals to lead the Bobcats.
- Sydney Floyd also scored, while Shannan Korovich chipped in an assist.
- Lees-McRae opened the scoring with Barry's 10th-goal of the season just under three minutes into the contest.
- The Warriors responded by scoring just 38 seconds later and scored the final eight goals of the first half to claim a 9-1 halftime advantage.
- The Bobcats scored three of the first four goals of the second half, with goals going to Barry, Floyd, and Grassett, to trim the deficit back to 10-4 with 15 minutes to play in the contest.
- Southern Wesleyan closed the game by scoring five of the next six goals to clinch the conference victory.
- Emily Davidson finished with 14 saves in net for the Bobcats.
- The Warriors finished 20-25 on the clear attempts, while Lees-McRae held a slim 12-10 edge in draw controls.
FOR THE FOES:
- Betsy Bovee scored a game-high eight goals to go along with one assist to pace the Warriors.
- Kaeleigh McDaniel finished with three saves in net for Southern Wesleyan.
