BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae Director of Cycling
Tim Hall announced the fourth member of the 2023-2024 recruiting class for the men's cycling program with the signing of student-athlete Lucas Schade.
Schade comes to Banner Elk from Oyster Bay, New York where he raced on the cycling team at Oyster Bay High School and recently the Endless Trail Racing of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA).
"The landscape and how the team does well in the competition and also the team camaraderie", said Schade of the Lees-McRae cycling program.
Schade plans to race the dsiciplines of road and cross country for the Bobcats and intends to study Business at Lees-McRae.
