WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field began their 2024 season on the indoor circuit today as the Bobcats competed in the Mondo College Invitational.
Christian Bargaineer placed second in the 60 Meter Hurdles and
Lora Dillon placed third in the Women's Triple Jump.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Bargaineer started his day with a preliminary time of 8.61 seconds to qualify for the 60m Hurdles and almost broke his own school record in the finals with a time of 8.35 seconds.
- JD Green captured ninth in the 200 Meters with a time of 23.11 and Aaron Kirby turned in a time of 24.43.
- Michael Keen placed ninth in the Shot Put for Lees-McRae with a throw of 13.27 meters.
- Max Geckler collected a 10th place finish in the mile with a time of 4:37.36 and Rien Freeman just missed a top-ten finish in the 1,000 Meters with a time of 2:53.99.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Lora Dillon had a solid day for the Bobcats with a third-place finish in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.28 meters and placed eighth in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.19m.
- Maddie Quinn recorded a fifth-place finish in the indoor opener for Lees-McRae in the 800 Meters with a time of 2:31.11. Kaitlyn Rowe finished the event with a time of 3:01.04.
- Campbell Dille captured two top-ten finishes with seventh place in the 3,000 Meters, 10:52.91, and the mile with a time of 5:34.14 for eighth place. Quinn took ninth in the event after crossing the line at 5:35.58 and Deanna Betzer followed with a time of 5:39.40.
