WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field were back in action on Thursday evening at the JDL College Team Challenge in Winston-Salem.
Maddie Quinn broke the school record in the Mile and
JD Green took first in the Men's High Jump to lead the Bobcats.

MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Christian Bargaineer started the evening with a second-place finish in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 8.54 and secured fifth place in the Triple Jump with a mark of 13.09 meters.
- Green notched the victory in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.94 meters. Green and the Bobcats took sixth in the 4x400 Meter Relay on Thursday with a time of 3:38.16.
- Brennen Pierce tallied a fifth-place finish in the Men's Mile with a time of 4:30.66 and Rien Freeman placed sixth with a time of 4:33.30.
- Max Geckler led Lees-McRae in the 3,000 Meters after crossing the line in a time of 9:00.73. Josh Brett followed in a time of 9:09.64 with Isaac Reyna (9:23.98) and Jackson Olson (9:51.30) rounding out the Bobcats in the event.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Quinn broke fellow Bobcat Campbell Dille's record in the Mile on Thursday night with a time of 5:24.67. Dille recorded the program record this year at Finn Pincus Invitational in January. Dille placed sixth in the race with a time of 5:31.38.
- Landri Martinka registered a runner-up finish in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:02.66.
- Deanna Betzer earned second in the 3,000 Meters with a time of 11:02.15 and Kaylee Kraver tallied 10th in the race after crossing in a time of 12:17.45.
- Symone Taylor picked up a top-ten finish in the 60 Meters with a time of 8.07. Martinka took 12th in the event along with Sandryne Camire in 13th and Eshone Cofield-Jackson in 16th for the Bobcats.
- Keagan Osika led Lees-McRae in the 200 Meters with a time of 27.74 and placed sixth. Camire and Cofield-Jackson followed in seventh and eighth, respectively.
- Osika tallied third in the Women's High Jump with a mark of 1.44 meters and Morgan Gray took 15th for the Bobcats in the Weight Throw with a mark of 9.51 meters.
UP NEXT:
Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams will prepare for the Conference Carolinas Track & Field Championships in Winston-Salem. The championships will start on Sunday, Feb. 18 and run through Monday, Feb. 19 at the JDL Fast Track.
