MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – On the second day of the 2024 Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships, Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams registered four new school records in their performances.
THE BASICS
MEET: Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships
LOCATION: Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium – Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
MEN'S NOTABLES:
- Christian Bargaineer produced a new school record in the 110 Meter Hurdles with a time of 14.62 and received second place in the event.
- Andrew Belcher continued to set a high mark for the Bobcats in the Discus with a school record throw of 44.94 meters and collected fourth in the event.
- Joshua Ehresman led the Bobcats in the Shot Put with a mark of 14.49 meters. Michael Keen followed in sixth with a throw of 13.18 meters. Khan Cline took 10th with a mark of 12.12m.
- Brennen Pierce took ninth in the 1,500 Meters with a time of 4:08.42.
- Max Geckler recorded a ninth-place finish in the 5,000 Meters with a time of 15:29.11.
- Lees-McRae took ninth in the 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:28.22. Lodrick Scott, Josh Gillis, Bargaineer, and JD Green took part in the race.
- The Bobcats finished eighth overall with 28 total points. Mount Olive took the team title with 185.5 total points.
WOMEN'S NOTABLES:
- Maddie Quinn notched a school record in the 1,500 Meters with a time of 4:54.89 and finished in fourth place for the Bobcats.
- Campbell Dille set a new school record in the 5,000 Meters with a time of 18:29.40 and picked up a fourth-place finish. Deanna Betzer added a tenth-place finish with a time of 19:09.03.
- Lora Dillon earned All-Conference Carolinas Third Team honors in the Triple Jump today with a mark of 11.45 meters.
- Eshone Cofield-Jackson, Landri Martinka, Keagan Osika, and Symone Taylor placed sixth in the 4x100 Meters with a time of 48.30 seconds.
- Martinka tallied seventh place in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:00.26.
- Morgan Gray recorded a top-ten finish in the Shot Put with a mark of 10.48 meters and placed eighth individually.
- Osika and Maren Hester tied for ninth in the High Jump with a clearance of 1.45 meters.
- Osika, Quinn, Martinka, and Sandryne Camire placed seventh in the 4x400 Meter Relay with a time of 4:18.68.
- Lees-McRae placed sixth overall over the two-day event with 47 total points. Mount Olive collected the team title with 195.5 points.

Lees-McRae men's and women's track & field teams head to Cleveland, Tennessee for the Lee Last Chance Invitational on May 10 and 11.
