CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Lees-McRae women's cross country began its 2026 season at the Queen City Invite, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte, on Friday night.
Megan Knapp led the Bobcats with a time of 18:47.3 and 33rd place individually.

NOTABLES:
- Knapp posted a time of 18:47.3 and placed 33rd out of 222 runners this evening.
- Veronica Cheechov, in her freshman debut, followed Knapp with a time of 21:10.7 and placed 107th. Rebecca Kleiber finished the race with a time of 21:20.1 and Ari Redies had a time of 21:52.2.
- Julia Wasilco, Mia Adkins, and Micah Fitzgerald closed out the times for the Bobcats.
- Lees-McRae placed 13th out of 26 teams this evening. Elon took the team title and Marshall's Rachel Withrow turned in a first-place time of 16:18.9.
