2019-20 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Welten competed in all four meets for the Bobcats in 2019-20...He set a personal-best time in the 300m with a time of 42.81 at the Appalachian Invitational Open in December...Picked up another personal-best this time in the 400m at the Buccaneer Invitational with a time of 1:01.88...Competed in the 200m and 400m at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships...Finished 13th in the 200m and 12th in the 400m in the league's showcase event. 

2018-19 Season (Freshman) - Welten posted results in six meets as a freshman...Competed in the long jump, 200-meter dash, 60-meter dash and 400-meter hurdles...Posted a 16th-place finish in the long jump (5.59 meters) at the Appalachian State Open (Dec. 1)...Ran the 60-meter dash in 7.75 seconds, the 200 in 25.60 seconds and also posted a mark of 5.02 meters in the long jump at the ETSU Invitational (Jan. 12)...Finished 23rd in the 60-meter dash (7.79 seconds) and also finished 21st in the 200 (25.87 seconds) at the JDL Fast Track Team Challenge (Feb. 7)...Finished 18th in the 60-meter dash (7.65 seconds), 200 (26.07 seconds) and also in the long jump (5.44 meters) at the Conference Carolinas Indoor Championships (Feb. 17)...Ran the 100-meter dash in 12.12 seconds and also posted a mark of 5.20 meters in the long jump at the Winthrop Invitational (Mar. 23)...Posted an 18th-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:08.63) at the Lenoir-Rhyne Track and Field Classic (Apr. 6).
