2019-20 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Penley competed in four events for Lees-McRae...Took part in both the Georgia Tech MTB Race and Volunteer MTB Weekend during the mountain bike season...Top finish was 15th in the STXC at the Volunteer MTB Weekend...Won the Rogue State Road Race on February 29.

2018-19 Season (Freshman) - Penley competed in four events as a freshman during mountain bike season...Finished sixth in the B short track event, while also taking sixth in the B cross-country event at King University (Tenn.) (Sept. 1-2)...Finished third in the B short track event at Brevard (Sept. 8-9)...Took fourth in the B cross-country race, while also finishing fifth in the B short track event at the High Country Collegiate MTB Challenge (Sept. 22-23)...Finished second in the B cross-country race and also finished fifth in the B short track event at Union College (Sept. 29-30)...Also participated in three cyclocross races as a freshman...Finished sixth in the B/C race at King University (Tenn.) (Nov. 10)...Won the Category 4/5 event at NCCX (Nov. 11)...Posted a runner-up finish in the B race at the SECCC Cyclocross Championships at Warren Wilson (Dec. 1)...Penley also competed in five road events as a freshman...Finished third in the C road race, while also finishing 11th in the C criterium at Auburn (Feb. 23-24)...Finished sixth in the B road race, while also taking eighth in the B criterium at Clemson (Mar. 23-24)...Took third in the day one B criterium, while also finishing ninth in the day two B criterium at King University (Tenn.) (Mar. 30-31)...Was part of a fifth-place team time trial effort, finished third in the B/C road race and also won the B/C criterium event at the SECCC Road Championships (Apr. 6-7)...Took fourth in the B road race, while also finishing second in the B criterium at the High Country Collegiate Cycling Classic (Apr. 27-28).
