Haley French joined the Lees-McRae College Athletic Training staff in January 2018 as an assistant athletic trainer. She works extensively with the men’s and women’s cross country, men's and women's tennis, women's basketball and women's lacrosse teams. 

French received her bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Delaware in May 2015. Upon graduating, she obtained an internship at Barton College where she worked as a certified athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s swimming, and women’s lacrosse teams.

After completing her first year at Barton, French began working towards her master’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotions online through the California University of Pennsylvania. When her 2-year internship with Barton ended, she was able to complete her last semester on campus as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Cal U women’s volleyball, women’s swimming, and men’s and women’s golf teams. She graduated in December 2017.

French currently holds certifications as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and has been an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2014.

A native of Newark, Delaware, French currently resides in Banner Elk.
