Biography

2016-17 Season (Senior) - Thompson competed in nine meets in his final season as a Bobcat...Thompson set personal bests in the 55m, 60m, 100m and 200m runs...His best finish came at the Mountaineer Open Indoor Track Meet where he was 11th in the 200m run...After his senior season, Thompson was named to both the Academic All-Conference team and the Presidential Honor Roll. 

2015-16 Season (Junior) - In his first season with the Bobcats after transferring from UNC-Greensboro, Thompson participated in five meets...He notched a person-best mark of 56.06 in the 400m as a junior...His best finish came at the Appalachian Open Indoor Meet where he finished 15th in the 200m run...Thompson was named to the Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll after his first season in Banner Elk.
