Emily Alvut comes to Banner Elk from Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia where she served as the primary athletic trainer for men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's rugby, acrobatics and tumbling, and cheerleading since August 2022.
Prior to AB, Alvut was an athletic training student at the University of Florida with the football program and an athletic training student at Woodgrove High School.
"I am excited to be part of the Lees-McRae community and look forward to working with the coaches and athletes," said Alvut.
Alvut holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Medaille and a Master of Science in Athletic in Athletic Training from Shenandoah University.
