Jason Levesque enters his second season as Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Lees-McRae College in 2027 after returning to Banner Elk with coaching experience at every NCAA level and on the international stage. A 2008 Lees-McRae graduate, Levesque previously served as assistant women’s lacrosse coach and offensive coordinator at Queens University of Charlotte, helping guide the Royals through a successful transition to NCAA Division I competition. During his three seasons at Queens, the program earned three top-four conference finishes and produced multiple All-ASUN selections, including back-to-back ASUN Players of the Year in 2024 and 2025.
Before Queens, Levesque spent three seasons as head coach at St. Bonaventure University, where he led the Bonnies to their best start since 2006 during the 2020 season. He has also served as head coach at Adams State University and founded both the men’s and women’s lacrosse programs at Alma College.
Internationally, Levesque has been part of multiple championship staffs with Team Canada. He helped the Canadian Women’s National Team win gold at the 2022 World Games and silver at the 2022 World Championship after previously helping the Canadian Men’s National Team capture gold at the 2014 World Championship and silver in 2018. He is the only lacrosse coach to win gold medals with both Canada’s men’s and women’s national teams.
Levesque began his collegiate coaching career at Lees-McRae from 2006-08 as defensive and recruiting coordinator for the men’s lacrosse program before moving to Canisius College, where he developed several professional draft picks and all-conference players.
As a student-athlete, Levesque was a four-year starter at Canisius College and helped lead the program to its first MAAC Tournament appearances. He earned degrees from both Canisius College and Lees-McRae College, along with a master’s degree in sport administration from Canisius.
