Lauren Xayavong was promoted to Lees-McRae Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach in the Spring of 2026. She joined the coaching staff prior to the 2025 season as a graduate assistant.

Xayavong had a historic career for the Bobcat women's volleyball program as she finished her career with the second-most career digs, fourth all-time in career digs per set, fifth all-time in digs in a single season, and first all-time in digs per set in a single season. Xayavong was tabbed to the 2023 Academic All-Conference Carolinas team and earned recognition to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Team. 

Xayavong, a Hickory, North Carolina native, graduated from Lees-McRae with a bachelor's degree in Sport Management and a master's degree in human services.
