The Limestone College Saints played host to the Lees-McRae
College Bobcats Thursday evening, but were far from gracious,
sending the Bobcats home with their fifth straight loss, 91-82.
The Bobcats record falls to 3-7, (2-3 CVAC).
The Saints got on the board first with an early three pointer,
before the Bobcats took their only lead of the game off of back to
back field goals from Mike Fox and Henry Williams. The Saints
responded with a 10-0 run and never looked back. The first half
lead was as much as 21, before the visitors began clawing their way
back, heading into halftime down, 37-24.
The second half was much like the first with the home side
Saints extending their lead and the Bobcats forced to play catch
up. In the end, the deficit was insurmountable, and Lees-McRae ran
out of time, falling 92-81 to the third place team in the
conference.
Aaron Dugger, (pictured top left), had a game high 27 points to
lead the Bobcats attack while Pete Dunbar chipped in 14. DJ
Menifee and Henry Williams also scored in double digits,
contributing 12 points each respectively.
The Bobcats will look to bounce back Saturday afternoon when St.
Andrew's Presbyterian College visits Williams Gymnasium. Tip off
is set for 4:00pm.
