BANNER ELK, NC--In a defensive standoff, the Lees-McRae Lady
Bobcats dropped a 1-0 defeat to St. Andrews Presbyterian College
Saturday afternoon in Conference Carolinas action at Tate Field.
The Lady Bobcats fall to 4-9 (2-5 Conference Carolinas), while the
Knights improve to 4-5-3 (2-2-3).
After a scoreless first half with six total shots, three for
each team, the Knights would score the game's only goal in the 71st
minute. Sam Frazer's cross was connected by Crystal Olu-Taylor,
beating Lady Bobcats keeper Brittany Bolton (Roanoke, VA) to give
the visitors the one goal win.
Each team registered seven shots, with the Bobcats putting six on
the frame, and hitting the post once. Garrison Burton picked up
five saves for the Knights while Bolton was credited with
three.
The Lady Bobcats hit the road for four straight games, starting
with a Conference Carolinas match up at Converse College
Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 4:00pm.
