The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats lacrosse team hosted Pfeiffer
University Friday afternoon in Carolinas-Virginia Athletic
Conference action. The visiting Lady Falcons, ranked #7 in NCAA
Division II, improved to 12-3, (7-1 CVAC), while the Lady Bobcats
fall to 1-13, (0-8 CVAC).
The Lady Falcons took a quick 2-0 lead before Laura Hawthorne cut
the deficit in half with her first goal of the game at 25:27. The
Lady Falcons responded with six straight unanswered goals to take
control of the contest, taking a 14-2 lead into halftime.
Ashley Hill led the attack for the visitors scoring a game high
nine points with three goals and six assists. Elie Fenton, Alycia
Schwarz, Brenna Clark and Patricia Hunter all found the back of the
net twice while Schwarz and Clark also contributed an assist. Six
Lady Falcons registered singles to round out the scoring.
Hawthorne, (pictured top left), scored twice to lead the Lady
Bobcats while Brittany Dabkowski picked up two assists while Julia
Campbell rounded out the Lady Bobcats scoring.
The Lady Bobcats will host St. Andrew's Presbyterian College
Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm in CVAC action. The Lady Bobcats will
honor seniors Dabkowski and Marjie Lesser prior to the game.
