BANNER ELK, N.C. - Whitney Kiser had 14 kills on 24 attempts and
compiled a .542 hitting percentage to lead the Lees-McRae College
Lady Bobcats to a 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-19) win over the Queens
University of Charlotte Lady Royals Tuesday night in Conference
Carolinas match in Williams Gymnasium.
Following Kiser (Connelly Springs, N.C.) was Natalie Burns
(Orlando, Fla.) with eight kills. Megan Epperson (St.
John, Ind.), Lauren Hall (Enka, N.C.) and Katie-Marie Legg (Alta
Loma, Calif.) had five kills apiece. Epperson also
had three service aces. Lindsay Brant (Orlando, Fla.) and Tracey
Copley (Virginia Beach, Va.) had 11 digs each. Trisha
Reese (Hanover, Penn.) dished out 20 assists, and Taylor Stice
(Franklin, Tenn.) had one solo block and three block
assists.
Brittany Harvey led the Lady Royals
attack with five kills. Tanish Lea had four total
blocks, and Tammy Pierce had 15 digs for the Lady Royals
defense.
With the win the Lady Bobcats
improve to 10-10 overall (7-2 conference) while the Lady Royals
fall to 3-17 overall (3-8 conference).
The Lady Bobcats travel to St. Andrews
Friday, October 10th for their next match. First serve is set for
7:00 p.m.
