GREENVILLE, TENN. --After winning the first set, the Lees-McRae
Lady Bobcats fell to the Lander University Bearcats 3-1 (25-23,
24-26, 15-25, 20-25) on day one of the Tusculum Fall Classic.
Whitney Kiser (Connelly Springs, N.C.) led the Lady Bobcat
attack with 11 kills, and Natalie Burns (Orlando, Fla.) contributed
with seven kills. Megan Epperson (St. John, Ind.) had two solo
blocks, and Trisha Reese ( Hanover, Penn.) handed out 29 assists.
Kell Bodgan (Leawood, Kans.) had 36 digs, which was a match high.
Bodgan is the first Lady Bobcat player to join the thirty-dig club
this season.
The Lady Bobcats take on Lincoln Memorial Saturday at 12 noon and
Mars Hill at 6 p.m. on day two of the Tusculum Fall Classic.
