BANNER ELK, N.C. -- The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats picked up their
fifth straight win and fourth straight conference win with a 3-0
(25-17, 25-16, 25-8) sweep over the Belmont Abbey College Crusaders
in Williams Gymnasium Tuesday evening.
Whitney Kiser compiled a .588 hitting percentage, with 10 kills
on 17 attempts and no errors, and had six service aces to lead the
Lady Bobcat offense. Megan Epperson contributed 12 kills and six
digs in the contest. Kell Bodgan picked up 14 digs for the Bobcats
defensively, and Lauren Dickover handed out 17 assists.
Katie-Marie Legg had two solo blocks for the Bobcats.
With the win the Lady Bobcats improve to 7-8 overall and 4-0 in the
conference while the Lady Crusaders fall to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in
the conference.
The Lady Bobcats are one of three teams still undefeated in
Conference Carolinas play this season. Saturday, September 27th at
2 p.m. the Lady Bobcats host Anderson University, one of the three
undefeated teams, in a pivotal Conference Carolinas match.
