BANNER ELK N.C. -- Lee Squires recorded his second hat trick in
as many weeks to lead the Lees-McRae Bobcats (3-1) to a 5-0 victory
over the Chowan College Hawks (0-4) Saturday night at Tate
Field.
Squires scored his first goal in the 9th minute that gave the
Bobcats a 1-0 lead on a full volley into the back of the net on a
cross from Logan Linton.
In the 43rd minute Squires found the back of the net when he took
the ball down the far side and beat two defenders and the keeper
for the goal to extend the lead to 2-0.
His final goal, to complete the hat trick, came in the 57th minute
when again he beat the keeper and two defenders off the dribble for
the goal to make the score 3-0.
Kyle McGimsey scored in the 75th minute when his corner kick.
