WILSON, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College Bobcats men's basketball
team dropped a 82-59 Conference Carolinas game to the Barton
College Bulldogs Saturday night.
Aaron Woodacre compiled 19 points to pace the Bobcats. Sam Youse
followed with 12, and Stephen Haymer had ten. Jesse Hoots handed
out a team high six assists.
L.J. Dunn had 14 points and 12 rebounds, and David King posted 11
points and 12 rebounds to register double-doubles for the Bulldogs.
King also blocked three shots. Aaron Suggs knocked down a game-high
15 points for Barton and dished out five assists.
Barton claimed a 42-29 advantage on the glass including 15
offensive rebounds that led to 21 second chance points. Lees-McRae
only had nine offensive rebounds and eight second chance
points.
The Bulldogs outshot the Bobcats 48 percent to 38 percent.
Barton improves to 14-4 overall and 10-1 in the conference,
Lees-McRae falls to 1-21 overall and 1-11 in the conference.
Lees-McRae will travel to Pfeiffer University in their next action
Wednesday, February 4th at 7:30 p.m.
