MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer University Lady Falcons downed
the Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats 20-9 for the second straight
day in Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse Saturday
afternoon.
Desiree Cox led the Bobcats with four goals and an assist for a
total of five points. Sister Cheryse Cox tallied three goals, and
Tiffany Paris added two goals. Cheryse collected a team high four
groundballs, while Desiree, Julia Campbell, Kelly Mendsen and
Martha Peacock picked up two groundballs each. Lexi King had a
team high four draw controls. Campbell and Paris had three draw
controls. Desiree also caused a team high three turnovers.
Pfeiffer scored 15 goals in first half, while Lees-McRae only
managed three goals. The Bobcats won the second half 6-5, but it
wasn't enough as the team fell 20-9.
Pfeiffer outshot the Lady Bobcats 34-21, and won the groundball
battle 24-14.
Lees-McRae will host St. Andrews for their final game of the season
April 13th.
