GAFFNEY, S.C.- The No. 3 Limestone College Lady Saints downed
the Lees-McRae College Lady Bobcats, 22-4, on Tuesday afternoon at
Saints Field in Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse action.
With the win, the Lady Saints improve to 12-1 overall and 10-1 in
Conference Carolinas action, while the Lady Bobcats fall to 6-8
overall and 2-7 in the league.
Lees-McRae's Desiree Cox scored three of her team's four goals.
Tiffany Paris accounted for the Bobcats' other goal. Cox also had
three ground balls. Lauren Martin had three ground balls and two
caused turnovers. Cox, Paris, Martin and Lexi King had two draw
controls.
For Limestone, Kelly Oterson scored a game-high five goals for the
Lady Saints and added one assist. Melissa Howard scored three times
and tallied two assists. Casey Wilcox and Kelly Lickert recorded
four assists each. Lauryn Wise had seven draw controls, while Erin
Growney had three. Michaela Reynolds picked up three ground balls.
Raquel Prager led the Lady Saints with two caused turnovers.
Brigid Milchling, who earned the win between the pipes, made three
saves for Limestone in the first half, as Reynolds posted nine
saves in the second period.
Martha Peacock took the loss for the Bobcats despite making seven
saves.
Limestone outshot the visitors 36-19 and picked up 16 ground balls
compared to Lees-McRae's nine. The Saints won 16 draw controls as
the Bobcats recorded 11. The Lady Saints were 14-17 in clears and
the Bobcats saw half of their 14 clears broken.
The Bobcats host Pfeiffer University on April 10 at 1 p.m. in
Banner Elk, N.C. for their next game.
