HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Freshman forward James
Galvani (High Wycombe, U.K.) has been named the Conference
Carolinas Player of the Week after leading the Lees-McRae College
men's soccer team to a 1-0-1 worksheet last week, announced league
officials Tuesday.
Galvani turned in his best performance of the season on
Wednesday at King (Tenn.), scoring two goals, including the
match-winner, and tallying an assist to lead the Bobcats to a 3-1
win over the Tornado.
The 6-2, 160-pound forward followed with a relentless effort on
the attack against Pfeiffer, creating multiple scoring
opportunities in the eventual 1-1 draw. The High Wycombe, U.K.
native currently ranks second on the team in goals (five), assists
(four), and points (14).
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Tuesday when the Bobcats
travel to Harrogate, Tenn. for a pivotal regional matchup with
Lincoln Memorial University. The match is slated to kick off at 4
p.m.
