MOORESVILLE, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team
fell to Regis University Thursday, 17-5, in a nonconference
game.
Regis scored the first four goals of the game before Abby White
got the Lady Bobcats on the board at the 18-minute mark to make it
4-1. Regis added another seven goals before Ellie Psillas and
White scored for the Lady Bobcats. Regis closed the half with the
final goal giving the game the score of 13-3.
In the second half, the game was shorted because of weather
conditions, but Regis scored the first three goals of the half.
Psillas and Martin scored the Lady Bobcats only goals of the half
to give the game the final of 17-5.
Emily Guenther led Lees-McRae with five ground balls, and Lexi
King had three draw controls. White and Psillas each had two
goals.
For Regis, Kelsi Goings, AriAnna McDonald, and Morgan Taylor had
three goals, and Erin Dybus had two goals and four assists.
Lees-McRae will host Shepherd University Monday for their next
game.
