BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Queens University Royals scored 15 first
half goals to earn a 22-8 win over the Lees-McRae College Lady
Bobcats Wednesday night in a Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse
game at Tate Field.
Queens scored 15 first half goals, while Lees-McRae got two
goals from Ellie Psillas and a goal from Abby White and Lauren
Martin to trail 15-4 at the half.
In the second half, White notched two more goals for the Lady
Bobcats. Clair Shaw and Lexi King also scored goals for Lees-McRae
in half. The Lady Bobcat defense held Queens to seven second half
goals to fall 22-8.
White and Psillas had three points apiece. White had three
goals, Psillas had two goals and an assist. Kari Borton had a
team-high three ground balls, and Lauren Martin had three draw
controls. Kelly Mendsen had three caused turnovers on defense, and
Martha Peacock made six saves in the game.
Lees-McRae will host Converse for their next game on
Saturday.
