HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College forward
Luke Perry (Chesire, U.K.) has been selected as the Conference
Carolinas men's soccer Player of the Week, announced the league
office Tuesday. Perry led the Bobcats to a 2-1 victory over
Limestone College on Saturday to open conference play, netting his
second match-winner of the season.
The 5-11, 155-pound forward has found the back of the net twice
this season to share the team lead in goals, while pacing
Lees-McRae (2-1, 1-0 CC) with a pair of match-winners. Perry comes
off a freshman season in which he tallied five goals, 11 assists,
and 21 points as the Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Division II
National Championship match.
Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Tuesday afternoon when the
Bobcats square off against Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, N.C.
to resume conference play. The match is scheduled to kick off at 4
p.m.
