ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. --- Ellie Psillas
(Hagerstown, Md.) and Olivia Gudewich (Fredrick, Md.) each tallied
five goals to lead the Lees-McRae College women's lacrosse team to
a 22-4 win over North Carolina Wesleyan College on Saturday
afternoon to pace four Bobcats with at least three scores on the
day.
With the win, Lees-McRae evens its record at 1-1 while the
Battling Bishops fall to 0-1 on the season. Psillas posted a
game-high three assists for the Bobcats, while notching a
season-high five goals to swell her total to seven tallies for the
campaign.
Gudewich equaled Psillas' tally with five goals of her own, as
Lauren Martin (Whitby, Ontario, Canada) and Jessica MacConnell
(Cary, N.C.) each posted a hat trick for Lees-McRae. Emily
Guenthner (Nampa, Idaho) added a goal and two assists, while Lexi
King (Woodstock, Ga.) chipped in two goals and a helper. Taylor
Moody (Woodstock, Ga.) played the first half in goal and made two
saves, while Martha Peacock (Mooresville, N.C.) tallied one stop in
the second period.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Tuesday, Mar. 8 when the Bobcats
host Urbana University on Tate Field at 4 p.m.
