MISENHEIMER, N.C. --- Junior Allyson Schillinger recorded a double-double and freshman Madison Martin (Goldsboro, N.C.) impressed with 10 digs while the Lees-McRae women's volleyball team swept Pfeiffer, 25-12, 25-23, 25-19, in Conference Carolinas play Friday evening at Merner Gym in Misenheimer, N.C.

The Bobcats (9-6, 5-2 CC) used a match-high nine kills from Jariliz Cotté (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) to complete the season sweep. The Falcons (0-16, 0-9) remain winless on the season while being held to a .022 clip on the evening.

Freshman Ana Rodríguez jumpstarted the LMC offense with consecutive service aces while the squad ripped off a 13-3 run to begin play.

Coach Dave Schmidlin's team played kept it full throttle throughout the match and freshman Courtney Weathersbee (Raleigh, N.C.) helped push the lead to 12, 24-12, with three consecutive service aces before a PU setting error concluded the first set.

Junior Jordan Banta (Virginia Beach, Va.) notched one of her seven kills to give LMC an early 8-5 advantage.

The Falcons caught fire and used a 14-5 run to take a 19-13 lead.

The Bobcats methodically clawed back into it and finished the set on a 12-4 run, backed by two Banta blocks and two Cotté kills.

Duplicating the first set success, LMC took advantage of shaky play to take a 13-3 lead in the third.

PU would shave the deficit to five, 23-18, thanks to a couple of Kelsey Blauser kills.

The Bobcats thwarted the comeback attempt after two service errors to wrap up play.

Schillinger (Spring Hill, Fla.) dished out 24 assists and recorded 11 digs while sophomore Haylee Leonard (Winston-Salem, N.C.) tallied four block assists.

LMC travels to Belmont Abbey Saturday at 2 p.m. in Belmont, N.C. before taking on Fayetteville St. in a neutral site tilt at 4 p.m.
