BANNER ELK, N.C. --- Lena Langille scored late in the second half to life the Lees-McRae women's soccer team to a 1-0 win against Mount Olive Saturday afternoon at a Homecoming match at Tate Field in Banner Elk, N.C.
The Bobcats (3-8, 3-3 Conference Carolinas) doubled the opposition in shots, 20-10. The Trojans (4-3-1, 2-2-1) saw goalie Stephanie McCoy make five saves.
Langille (Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia) tallied her second goal of the season when she lofted a ball high that went through McCoy's hands and ended up in the back of the net.
She had entered the match moments earlier as a sub.
Sophomore Alexis Feely (Raleigh, N.C.) earned her third clean slate of the year while making four saves.
The Bobcats welcome Converse Saturday, Oct. 8 at 4:30 p.m. for a CC tilt at Tate Field.
