Men's Soccer snaps four-game losing skid with a 6-2 win over King (TN)

BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's soccer team scored a season-high six goals to snap a four-game losing skid against King University Wednesday at Tate Field, 6-2. The six goals scored by the Bobcats is the most for the team in a game since they scored seven against St. Andrews on Oct. 23, 2010.

The Tornado scored the first and last goals of the game but in between it was all Bobcats. Seven different players notched at least one point and four had multi-point games. Thomas Deeley scored two of the team's six goals to give him a team-leading nine on the season, while Pol Vassart, Taylor Gray and Nathan Watt all put forth a goal and an assist. James Morgan scored the Bobcats' other goal and that net-finder came in 18th minute.

Tyler Pavlet got the win in net for Lees-McRae making six saves in eight attempts. Pavlet's record improves to 4-11-0 with the win.

LMC, now 4-11-0 and 4-5-0 in conference play, will close out Conference Carolinas play Saturday when it hosts Emmanuel (GA) at 4:30 p.m. The game will also be Senior Day for the team's four seniors.
