Molander Notches Two Goals Against No. 20 Saint Leo

ST. LEO, Fla. --- Freshman Alec Molander scored twice in the first quarter, but the Lees-McRae men's lacrosse team dropped a 22-2 decision to No. 20 Saint Leo Friday evening at University Turf in St. Leo, Fla.

The Lions improved to 5-1 after Dylan Yonts tallied seven goals. The Bobcats fell to 1-4 while Blaine Stottlar (Clinton, N.Y.) amassed a team-high nine shots.

SLU jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the opening moments of the contest.

Molander (Saanichton, British Columbia) tied the contest at two with a pair of goals in a span of 5:23.

Freshman Cameron Castle (Fort Collins, Colo.) made 20 saves.

The Lions' Jake Gilmour dished out eight assists.

The Bobcats forced 13 turnovers in the contest while going 9-for-11 on clear attempts in the first half.

LMC welcomes Pfeiffer Tuesday, March 15 at 4 p.m. in a Conference Carolinas tilt at Tate Field in Banner Elk, N.C.
