CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae women's soccer team fell to Queens (N.C.), 3-0, Monday evening at the Queens Sports Complex in Charlotte, N.C.
The Royals (2-2) fired off 31 shots in the contest. The Bobcats (1-4) are in the midst of a seven-match road swing to open the season.
Queens' Thea Mallett scored a pair of goals, one in each half, while Alana Jefferson impressed with a goal and an assist.
Freshman Timber Powell (Kernersville, N.C.) led the team with three shots.
Sophomore Alexis Feely (Raleigh, N.C.) made nine saves.
LMC visits North Greenville Wednesday, Sep. 14 at 5 p.m. in a Conference Carolinas tilt in Tigerville, S.C.
