DUE WEST, S.C. --- The Lees-McRae men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Erskine in Conference Carolinas play at Huggins Field Saturday afternoon in Due West, S.C.
The Flying Fleet (3-1, 2-0 CC) avenged a pair of losses from last year while Martin Arias earned the clean sheet. The Bobcats (2-4, 2-1) held a 12-10 advantage in shots.
EC's Alex Garcia Piles lofted a shot over the outstretched arms of Tyler Pavlet (Goodyear, Ariz.) at the 14:13 mark to score the contest's lone goal. Cameron Whitehurst earned the assist.
Pavlet finished with two saves on the day.
LMC's Kelvin Woods (Gastonia, N.C.) nearly provided the equalizer with 30 seconds left in regulation but was stoned by Martin.
The Bobcats welcome Limestone Wednesday, Sep. 21 at 7 p.m. for a CC tilt at Tate Field.
