BANNER ELK, N.C. – After winning back-to-back home games, the Lees-McRae College men's basketball team saw its two-game winning streak snapped Tuesday as it dropped a 79-65 decision to Emmanuel (GA).

The Lions jumped on the Bobcats early Tuesday scoring the first seven points of the contest. LMC clawed back in it to tie the score at 22-22 with about six minutes remaining in the half. In the final minutes before the half, the two team exchanged leads with Emmanuel ending up with a 34-32 advantage at the break.

LMC continued to keep step-for-step with the Lions, and eventually took a 64-59 lead with just under six minutes to go in regulation. Unfortunately for Lees-McRae, its offense went cold as it shot 0-fo-10 over the final minutes to allow Emmanuel to go on a 20-1 run to close out the Bobcats, 79-65.

The duo of Jordan Turner and Donte Falls led Lees-McRae with 14 points each Tuesday. Falls also led LMC with seven rebounds, while senior Jonathan Honore dished out a team-high three assists.

Lees-McRae, now 7-16, will host Barton in the fourth home game of a five-game home stand Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Prior to the game, the Bobcats will honor their three seniors from this year's team: Chad Hicks, Darius Malbon and Jonathan Honore.
