Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Molander scores five times but LMC falls to Pfeiffer, 16-11

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – Sophomore Alec Molander matched a season-high with five goals Wednesday evening against Pfeiffer, but it was not enough as the Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team dropped a 16-11 decision to the Falcons. The loss moves LMC's record to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

In addition to the performance by Molander, Wyatt Daziel and Blaine Stottlar also had multi-goal performances against the Falcons with two goals each. Tanner Jones and Dane Carney accounted for the other two goals by the Bobcats.

LMC and Pfeiffer were neck-and-neck when it came to faceoffs with the Falcons holding the slight edge, 16-14. Ryan Beauchamp had 10 of those faceoff wins for LMC on 19 attempts. Beauchamp along with Stottlar and Christopher Lamay paced the squad with six ground balls each. Lamay also forced a team-high three turnovers as well.

Cameron Castle matched a season-high with 16 saves against the Falcons. Despite the 16-save outing, Castle was tagged with the loss dropping his record to 3-5.

The Bobcats will look to prevent a losing streak Saturday when they travel to Davis & Elkins for a non-conference tilt. First faceoff is set for 1 p.m.
