BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lincoln Memorial scored one goal in each half to upend the Lees-McRae College women's soccer team by a score of 2-0 Wednesday evening at Tate Field. The loss moves Lees-McRae's record on the season to 1-4-1.

LMU controlled the pace of play for the majority of Wednesday's contest as it outshot the Bobcats 26-8 overall including an 11-2 margin in shots on goal. Riley Neese paced the Bobcat attack with three shots with one being on goal against the Railsplitters. Leanne McAlexander accounted for the other shot on goal for the Bobcats.

Freshman Hope Sanborn made her collegiate debut against Lincoln Memorial. The Monroe, North Carolina native made eight saves on 10 shots faced. Despite the solid effort, Sanborn's record dips to 0-1-0 with the defeat.

The Bobcats will look to snap a two-match losing skid Saturday when they travel to Murfreesboro, North Carolina to take on Chowan in a Conference Carolinas contest. Kickoff for that match is slated for noon.
