BANNER ELK, N.C. – Paced by a career-high 18 points from Taylor Fluette, the Lees-McRae College women's basketball team notched its third straight conference victory Saturday afternoon defeating North Greenville, 82-69. The win boosts LMC's record to 9-14 on the season and 6-11 in league action.

The first half was one of polar opposites. North Greenville jumped on Lees-McRae to lead by eight points, 22-14, after one quarter of play. LMC would rebound, however, to outscore the Crusaders 22-10 in the second to pull ahead, 36-32, at the halftime break. Balance was key for the Bobcats to mount their comeback with six different players with at least four points at the intermission. Additionally, Markia Stacey had eight assists in the first half alone.

Lees-McRae kept stellar play from the second quarter rolling in the second half. LMC led by as many as 18 points before winning the contest by 13 points, 82-69. The Bobcats connected on eight three-pointers in the final 20 minutes to power the offense, and to pick up their third straight victory.

As mentioned earlier, Fluette notched a career-high 18 points in the win. The Burlington, N.C. native scored all of her points on the afternoon via the three-pointer. Freshman Grace Canella also had a stellar outing off the Bobcat bench scoring 10 points and grabbing six rebounds. Brea Forbes led LMC with seven rebounds, while Stacey finished with a team-high 11 assists.

LMC will look to ride this wave of momentum Wednesday when it welcomes Converse to Williams Gymnasium for another critical Conference Carolinas matchup. Tip-off for that game is set for 5:30 p.m.
