Multiple Bobcats run record times at Royals XC Challenge

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs competed at the Royals Cross Country Challenge on Friday afternoon in Charlotte.

The women were once again led my Deanna Betzer who ran a time of 19:54.9 which was good enough for 12th all-time in school history. She was trailed by Gabriella Vides-Barry who finished second on the squad, finishing with a time of 22:12.6.

Tristin Bertie paced the men's team with a time of 26:00.3, which was good enough for 89th out of over 400 that competed. Bertie also ran well enough for the 5th all-time best finish in Bobcat history. Joshua Hall would be the next Bobcat to finish with a time of 26:40.6 which was also good enough for the Lees-McRae record books, placing him 15th all-time.

The Bobcats will be back in action on October 26th when they travel to Mount Olive for the Conference Carolinas Championship.
