Hannah Davies scored for the White Team in the second half, but it was not enough as the Green Team claimed a 2-1 victory in the women's soccer intra-squad scrimmage this afternoon to kick off the Lees-McRae Green & White scrimmage schedule. To watch the full scrimmage, click

THE BASICS
FINAL SCORE: Green Team – 2, White Team – 1
LOCATION: Lees-McRae Practice Fields – Banner Elk, N.C.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams played to an even draw for the majority of the first 30 minutes until a late deflection causing an own goal gave the Green Team a 1-0 lead at the halftime whistle.
- The Green Team extended their lead to 2-0 on a deflected cross at the midway point of the second half and maintained the advantage for the remainder of the scrimmage.
- Davies closed out the scoring with less than a minute to play, as she took control of a pass from Ashley Herndon and chipped a shot into the bottom right corner.
