PEMBROKE, N.C. –
Aurora Roberts finished with a game-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds, but it was not enough as Conference Carolinas newcomer UNC Pembroke held the visiting Bobcats to under 10 points scored in three of the four quarters en route to clinching the 66-32 win this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Roberts shot 3 of 7 from behind the three-point line and 2 for 2 from the charity stripe to lead the Bobcats.
- Jessica Henderson added seven points and six rebounds, while MaKayla Smith chipped in six rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
- UNC Pembroke grabbed the momentum in the first 10 minutes of action by outscoring the Bobcats 11-3.
- Lees-McRae chipped away at the lead in the second frame, but a late layup by the Braves pushed the lead back to 27-9 at halftime.
- UNC Pembroke held a double-digit lead for the entirety of the second half, including holding a 24-8 advantage in the fourth quarter, to clinch the conference win.
FOR THE FOES:
- Zaria Clark finished with a team-high 15 points off of the bench for the Braves.
- Alcenia Purnell, Tiara Williams, and Gabby Smith all chipped in nine points.
