Max Kuntz finished with a combined 17 kills, but it wasn't enough as Barton posted a straight-sets victory over host Lees-McRae in the Conference Carolinas action this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marsans paced the Bobcats with seven kills to go along with a team-high five digs.
- Gardner and Kuntz each tallied five kills, while Riley Chapman finished with 14 assists.
- Barton stormed out of the gates by scoring 18 of first 27 points and held the momentum to claim a 25-14 win in set one.
- Lees-McRae rallied in the second frame to claim their first lead of the contest, but failed to overcome a pair of late kills as Barton claimed the set, 25-22.
- Both teams matched each other point-for-point in the final set, until a late 3-1 run by the Bulldogs gave Barton the straight-sets win with a 25-21 win in the third frame.
- Lees-McRae finished with a game-high six blocks, while Barton held a 35-19 advantage in kills.
FOR THE FOES:
- Adrian Iglesias finished with a game-high 11 kills to pace the Bulldogs.
- Nathan Chaparro chipped in nine kills, while Bartosz Slawinski added 26 assists.
