WILSON, N.C. – Four Bobcats scored in double figures, including
Anthony Hicks who scored a layup off a steal with four seconds remaining to force overtime, as the Lees-McRae men's basketball team outscored host Barton 15-8 in the extra session en route to a 103-96 victory in the regular-season finale this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Jamarius Hairston finished with a team-high 21 points on 4 of 9 shooting behind the three-point line.
- Quay Kimble nearly posted his first double-double of the season, tallying 13 points and nine assists to go along with two steals.
- Hicks added 11 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals, while Timon Jones chipped in 10 points and two assists off the bench.
- Lees-McRae sprinted out of the gates by scoring eight points in the first two minutes of action and extended the lead to 41-31 on a three-point field goal by Brian Sims Jr.
- Barton closed the first half on a 12-3 run to close the gap to 44-43 at halftime.
- The lead changed hands multiple times in the second half, with the Bulldogs holding a slim 88-84 lead with 15 seconds remaining.
- Hairston scored on the ensuing possession on an assist from Hicks to give Barton the ball with a chance to clinch the victory.
- Hicks stole the inbound pass and quickly converted a layup as time expired to send the game into overtime.
- The Bobcats outscored the Bulldogs 15-8 in overtime, including a dunk by Gabe Bryant and a pair of free throws by Jones, to clinch the victory in the season finale.
- Lees-McRae shot 46 percent from the field and outscored the opponents 45-15 in bench production, but was outrebounded 39-38.
FOR THE FOES:
- Brandon Burford finished with a game-high 32 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field to lead the Bulldogs.
- Isaiah Reddish chipped in 24 points and seven rebounds, while David Campbell tallied 12 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
NOTEWORTHY:
- With his 13 points in this afternoon's contest, Kimble moved into fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,303 points in 99 career games.
