BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae Athletic Department has announced new attendance policies for its outdoor venues which begin this upcoming Saturday. Family members of the Lees-McRae student-athletes will be allowed to attend home spring events, with strict rules in accordance with county and state guidelines, along with NCAA protocols. Visiting fans will not be allowed at this time.
Lees-McRae students will have the option to attend by using an online ticketing portal. Family members must be on the player's pass list that is given to the Lees-McRae leadership during that week. The amount of fans allowed will be determined based on the capacity of the venues, including Tate Field, the Softball Field and the C.D. Chesley Tennis Courts.
The Lees-McRae leadership will continue to assess for further developments and will provide any updated revisions as further information is available. All fans must observe social distancing and are required to wear face coverings at all times. In addition, any gatherings or tailgating, either pregame or post game, will not be permitted.
As in years past, the Lees-McRae Sports Information Office will stream all home contests on the
Conference Carolinas Digital Network. This will also include a free "on-demand" feature, allowing fans to rewatch any of the Bobcats home and away contests at any time. Events can be viewed by using streaming devices such as Roku, AppleTV and Amazon Fire. There will also be free watch parties in the Dining Hall for all Lees-McRae students to attend.
Attendance policies for all road contest against conference and non-conference opponents will be at the discretion of the host institution. Fans are encourages to check with the host institution for any restrictions on attendance. To view the composite schedule for all athletic events, click
