Olivia Ney and
Caitlyn Smirne combined for 18 kills, while
Carlee Allbaugh tallied 31 assists and a team-high 14 digs, as the Lees-McRae women's volleyball team claimed a straight-sets victory over visiting King in the Conference Carolinas action this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Ney paced the Bobcats with a team-high 10 kills to go along with two solo blocks.
- Smirne chipped in eight kills and eight digs, while Hanna Steckler added six kills, six digs and a solo block.
- Lauren Xayavong finished with 12 digs, while Alivia Larson tallied five kills.
- Lees-McRae and King traded runs for the majority of the opening frame, until late kills by Steckler and Ney gave the Bobcats a 25-22 win in the first set.
- After trading points for the majority of the second set, Lees-McRae used a late 5-0 to gain momentum and posted the last three points of the stanza to claim the set, 25-22.
- The Tornadoes rallied in the third set and used a kill by Julie Ward to take an 18-14 lead, before the Bobcats closed the contest on an 11-5 run to clinch the non-conference victory in straight-sets, 25-23.
- Lees-McRae held a sizeable advantage in kills (38-26) and in digs (56-48).
FOR THE FOES:
- Julie Ward finished with a game-high 12 kills to pace the Tornadoes.
- Katie Harless and Georgia Davis finished with 14 and 11 assists respectively, while Abigail Shaffer posted a game-high 16 digs.
