BELMONT, N.C. – Belmont Abbey posted 16 first-half goals and won 21 of the 29 total draw controls en route to claiming a 24-4 victory over the visiting Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas contest this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Madi Barry and Kalbie Grassett each finished with two goals to pace the Bobcats.
- The Crusaders sprinted out of the gates with three goals in the first three minutes of action and extended the lead to 9-0 before Grassett scored the first Bobcats' goal.
- Belmont Abbey scored seven of the final eight goals of the first half, with the lone goal going to Grassett, to take a 16-2 halftime lead.
- Barry scored two second-half goals, but it was not enough as the Crusaders outscored the Bobcats 8-2 in the final 30 minutes of action to clinch the home victory.
- Belmont Abbey held a 44-10 advantage in shots and forced 16 Lees-McRae turnovers.
- Abigail Brucks and Emily Davidson shared time in net for the Bobcats, combining to make 13 saves.
FOR THE FOES:
- Kylie Eastman finished with seven goals and two assists to pace the Crusaders.
- Riley D'Andrea chipped in six goals, while Michelle Guppy picked up the win in net for Belmont Abbey.
