BANNER ELK, N.C. – Emmanuel held a 54-38 advantage in kills to overcome a .178 hitting percentage en route to clinching a four-set victory over the host Bobcats in the Conference Carolinas match this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Caitlyn Smirne finished with a team-high nine kills to go along with 15 digs.
- Kaden Hill and Kavanna Held each posted seven kills, with Hill also adding a solo block and four block assists.
- Olivia Ney and Hanna Steckler tallied a combined 12 kills and eight block assists.
- Carlee Allbaugh chipped in a game-high 32 assists.
- Emmanuel sprinted out of the gates in the first set and scored the last five points of the frame to claim a 25-12 win in set one.
- Lees-McRae responded by scoring 12 of the first 18 points of the second stanza and held the momentum to claim a 25-14 win in set two on a final service ace by Mahealani Chun.
- The Lions recaptured the sets lead with a 25-14 win in set three and clinched the conference victory with a 25-22 victory in the final set.
- Lees-McRae held a 12-8 advantage in blocks, while the Lions posted a 72-63 edge in digs.
FOR THE FOES:
- Aleksandra Hamuda finished with 15 kills and 18 digs to pace the Lions.
- Jamie Clark and Gabrielle McGlamery chipped in 24 and 21 assists respectively.
