BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae women's tennis team swept the doubles competition and won five of the six total singles matches to clinch a 6-1 victory over visiting North Greenville in the team's first home match since March 3, 2020.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sandy Allen teamed up with Nursharneem Shamsuddin to win the #1 double match (6-3), while the team of Zeynep Cakirer and Mei Hiramatsu posted a 6-3 win in the #2 doubles.
- Tessa Wells and Laura Ocampo clinched the Bobcat sweep with a 6-0 victory in the #3 doubles.
- Allen also won the #1 singles competition by a 6-4, 6-3 score, with Shamsuddin winning the #3 singles match (6-1, 4-6, 6-0).
- Hiramatsu and Ocampo posted victories in the #4 (8-4) and #5 singles (6-0, 6-0) respectively.
- Wells clinched a 8-0 win in the #6 singles match.
